Where are all the revolutionary things that HL2 is going to bring to the FPS genre because frankly I can't find them. Sure it looks shit hot and will be alot of fun to play because Valve are a top class developer but you are kiding yourself if you think that it will be anything other than 'another FPS' as far as the gameplay goes.

Oh dear, for starters I have watched a 21 minute trailer like yourself. I have also read every developer interview released in the last year, add to that all the previews on IGN/Ve3d/Gamespot/Gamesdomain and about 20 other sites. I also don't claim to know how it plays based on the trailer. If YOU had bothered to read up on the game you would realise that it isn't BG3:SW but instead you choose to make un-informed comments that detract from the game.

You sir are the HL2 'fanboi' and are running down other games chances which is classic 'fanboi' syndrome. If KotOR sucks or isn't what I hoped it will be I will come on here and say so, if the same was true of HL2 I am sure you would keep playing and telling yourself it was awesome although I doubt Valve are capable of screwing it up.

seriously, im far from a hl2 fanboi. after seeing valve fuck up hl/cs im waiting for "the dark side" of hl2 to show. tbh i was expecting hl2 to be a revamped q3 engine and got really surprised when i saw the movies. and no, i dont care about the leet gfx.. its the physics and small stuff that impressed me.

and if it sucks, i will be the first to /point /laugh.

Oh and I only claimed that it was stupid to base a purchase solely on a trailer, I haven't slammed HL2 because I am buying it myself. I just defend KotOR because I have followed it's progress for a year and it looks liek the game I have been waiting a long time for.

Looking forward to the Star Wars rpg not because I'm a Star Wars fan but because I like rpg's and the games Bioware release in general have been good.

HL2 I'll maybe get a copy of as FPS's just aren't worth spending money on.
