Well, the first time my post-count went, was my own fault, because i accidently deleted my account during the migration :( But i don't see how i could have caused this... I've barely posted for a week or two! :uhoh:

Bah, forget it... I'll just put up with being a low-post-count-newbie :(

I wonder whether my actual posts were deleted, or whether it was just my post-count got altered... Afaik, when posts get deleted in vB, the post-count is lowered correspondingly :/

Well, the thing is, 600 posts could be the exact amount i've made since i switched to a new account. All my old posts are by are classed as being by a guest...

It could be that the forum calculated how many posts i've actually made, and adjusted my post-count automatically. However saying that, i seem to remember my post-count being nearer 2400 last time i checked(DBs added 2k posts after the migration)... I just don't know :(

You should be PROUD of having a low post count!!! Though your posts-per-day thing is still fairly bad.

I'm glad you understand now...

You see, when people look at my newish reg date, and my low post count, they will think "haha, what a newbie!" :(* They say exactly the same things when they look at you, i'm sure, allthough for different reasons

*Note, this post was purely for the purposes of insulting cage**.

**Note, had we still got that pic of cage, it would be so much easier to answer his [generally off-topic] posts :D

You can see his posts still, even though you know what a load of shite they are?

What do you think the ignore button is for?

I don't think anyone really cares about there own post count. However, the regs here seem to care far too much about other peoples post counts. If you are anything close to a newbie here you are treated like the most trodden-in type of shit.
I can quite understand Shocko wanting his posts back if only to avoid to avoid the bollocks that you (not necessarilly you personally, cage) put newbies through.

You know, I consider myself a newbie here, and my postcount would bear witness to that, but I have never been made to feel 'like the most trodden-in type of shit.'.

Maybe that's because I don't act like a complete idiot, diving headlong into arguments, with ill considered responses and insults. I also don't post in every thread I can find, just for the sake of it. If I post something it's usually because I feel I have something constructive to add.

And yes Will, the ignore function is extremely useful.

Newbies who feel hard done by, take this post, print it out, and learn it off by heart, your time spent posting here will be muchly improved.

I saw an old lady staring out of a shop window the other day. She seemed perturbed and so I approached her to offer assistance. I peered through the glass and signaled that I was prepared to help should the need arise. To my confusion, she responded to my gestures in kind.

I mouthed, elaborately, that I was merely offering some friendly assistance and yet again, she mouthed my words back. It was some considerable time before I realised that the shop was purveying mirrors, and I had been gesticulating to myself.

At that point I decided to replace my wardrobe.

I don't think I could ignore cage even if I wanted to. Every time I saw that he had posted something, I'd immediately want to see what it was. And he usually makes me larf, so there's no real need to ignore him anyway.
