Ah, there is one bar in Tampere as well with a PC.
I guess it's fine in bars, but never at night clubs.

finnish bars suck. expensive alcohol, cigarettes and i bet that net connection costed u like 2 euro a minute.
Also we do not have any netcafes in Helsinki afaik.

Gotta say, would never go out and then go sit at a PC. If anything I quite enjoy getting away from them when I go socialise.
Going to a bar to go sit at a computer is pure geekdom, and just plain wrong wrong wrong.

I have never actually done so but have seen people do so in the bar in Tampere.
It's really one of those "chilling" bars that older people go to (25-30).
So, I must join the group whom resist the whole idea of going out for a beer so that you may surf the internet even more.
Then again, there is the fact that if you are going to a bar alone for just the one beer, for good taste's sake, you could perhaps endulge in some surfing.
However, in a group... no way.

FYI it was in Oulu, 120km from Sweden border.
Beer costs 3.50€ III or IV (4.5% or 5.x%), notice the same price for both, computer was free. And it was just a midstop for me, 2 beers and to car again, drive to Tornio for Finnish Track&Field Championships for 18 to 19-year-olds (Highjump for me).
We checked out another bar and it had one too, tho this one had 17" flat screen and speakers.
