I liked the reference to Malcolm Tucker when he flashed the Psychic paper at Doctor Chang showing that he was on a government inspection and Doctor Chang asked why all the swearing! Overall pretty good episode (better than most if not all of the season) but lets see how it ends.

Was REALLY fucked off at the beeb. MASSIVELY.

So, Cybermen. Would have been a nice reveal, or something nice to work out over the course of the episode. BUT THEY ONLY WENT AND PUT A MASSIVE PICTURE OF THE CYBERMEN ON THE FRONT OF THE FUCKING IPLAYER CUNTING CLICKABLE ICON.

CUNTCUNTCUNTS.

Can't begin to tell how much I hate this basic sort of idiotry.

Would have enjoyed that episode if it wasn't for that. As it was I was pretty angry throughout.

Aye, every week I scramble to turn the TV off or switch channel when they do the "next week" spoiler.

They also didn't point out that the full video of that version of "Don't Stop Me Now" from the train in space episode had footage from the entire series in it, including Cybermen.

knew what was comin about 20 mins in was hoping i was wrong but alas good ep overall but sick of the same old foes lets have a new deadly enemy.

anyone else notice that the 3w logo resembles a cyberman eye? also the windows to the doors in the nethersphere. thats when i sussed out who the baddies where :/ suspected who missy was for a couple of eps now. cant help but wonder with the whole gender swap they are opening up the possibility of a female doctor its coming i can feel it.

They actually refer to the windows when the doctor says I'm missing something obvious.

Apparently the beeb has had complaints about the "dark themes" in the episode. I suppose if I'd cremated granny the day before I might have been a bit unsettled...

The "dark water" literally made no sense and was just an excuse for a special effect. But then this is Nu Who and making no sense at all is kind of a thing. (Apart from that, I actually enjoyed the episode, although I think there's a FAR more interesting TV show to be written based around the concept of the Noosphere).

That was poo, less east enders, more pew pew geeky sci-fi shit pls.

In the past, the main story usually was the main story, the companion shit was usually a bit of the side fun. Now it seems that they rushed the main story as quickly as they could with no actual 'action' to get back to the companionshipshitship.

Srs. 2/10.

Almost worth it just for the Xmas special spoiler at the end.

But only almost.

Absolutely awful. Why did Danny have the choice not to delete his emotions? How did the brigadier manage to act independently? How many times did the master teleport so it's fairly certain that she's not dead. We don't see any cybermen doing anything around the world but we get pictures of New York and Sydney for no reason, I guess Who must do well there?

I feel sorry for Peter Capaldi; waiting all his life for this gig, and then it turns out the writers only have access to crayons.

Welp. Santamas special indeed. Short bus special.

And i'm one to usually defend it.

If clara had no love interest and there was 0 romance going on otherwise(outside usual willthey as per doctor-companion), then it'd been a mighty fine season.

It was awful, stolen themes from:
  • Alien (Face huggers)
  • TNG / Red Dwarf / most Sci-Fi (Reference to drinking brains through straws)
  • Inceptions / most Sci-Fi (dream within a dream within a dream)
Plus the extension of Clara Oswoeful

They may have well just called it Dr Who "Movie Reference Game Spectacular Prizes if you can Name them All" Christmas Special

Not saying the character - it was cheesy shite, but his performance given the script was good I thought.
