The image to me doesn't look fake, though the word blurb really could be. Isn't someone here studying medicine? We should throw them at it.

Maggots are used actually quite frequently in medicine (comparatively) to clear away dead flesh and so on. Maybe he got a massive tumour or boil or wound that got infected with necrophiliating fasciatus or something, and the maggots were the safest way to clear away the infection? I'm just randomly guessing, but it doesn't need to be that he sat there reading The Sun while his brain got infested.

shouldn't that hurt or something? like.. hurt that much he can't bear it and goes to the hospital.
or doesn't he has a mirror and common sence.. normal people would go like "well I'll be damned, half my head's being eaten up by maggots, I should probably go see a doctor"

not to mention the reaction of people when he's taking his dog out to walk, I think most of them would find it fairly difficult to keep last night's turkey in their stomach.

ow and damini, when they use maggots for the removal of dead flesh, they remove the maggots within 1-2 days, BEFORE they lay eggs, cause if that happens you only make the wound worser.

and on those pictures you can clearly see piles of eggs.. I fear it's real, to some extend.

Anyone actually read the article there? How it progressed?

It's not like the guy had maggots spewing out of his head :p

And on the "pain" issue. Heck, the guy IS oriental. Vietnam, china, japan...and you think finnish people are hardheaded in going to the doctor.

As someone said on irc: "I've seen worse."

Everything isn't real, but also everything isn't a hoax.

So from now on when you get a owie on your head and it's a warm sunny day with flies buzzing around...do be careful, wear a plastic bag or see a doctor 'cause you never know when a gremlin is hiding in your closet :D

Hi! (It's necrotising faciitis btw :D)

There's no way that an infection could grow fast enough for the victim not to notice. The other possibility is that he knew about this and didn't visit a doctor? Rubbish imo.

Far more likely is this is a cadaver and the infestation has occurred since death. They could have just popped an oxygen mask onto him to take the picture. The text is circumstantial and could be true or false.

That's it, I knew somebody here was :)

I freely confess I had no way to spell that word, so I slapped my keyboard and then googled the response, and it said "Did you mean to spasm or were you looking for?" and it looked suitably medical :)

Yes, and that would be unbelievable why exactly? People don't go to the doctor like "normal" people. A cousin didn't visit a doctor and walked around with a broken leg (yes snap goes the boney broken) for two weeks before she couldn't take it anymore and just went.

It's just 'cause it looks like something that noone here(in a small community) hasn't seen that people scream "Hoax!". Ok so there are those sites and pictures out there that truly need the hoax stampage on it but then there are others that don't. Maybe it's just the fear telling people to scream hoax so they can sleep safe at night.

In any case...

Stop being Mr. H.R. Disbeliever on every issue.

Everything is not old.

Everything is not a hoax.

Everything is not propaganda.
