A bit about Cataclysm: Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead

Roguelike post-apocalypse survival horror game, extremely detailed, micromanagey, but very very rewarding. The graphics are 'ascii', but there's tilesets that make them look much better, everything is in the launcher down below, and it's free.

There's apparently basements full of spiders. Got stuck in a web, poisoned, ran away. Crafted a grenade, didn't do much, snuck back in the house, set fire to a web and ran, waited a good 20 minutes, the whole place came crashing down, only the foundation and stairs to the basement left, thought that everything was fine and went on my merry way down to loot only to discover the basement was shock full of nopes. Ran, took an hour to find stuff for a fertilizer bomb, stuffed it down and ran, heard a boom far away and never went back.
