There hasn't been a direct treath against Norway since wwII. Kinda surreal.

for the 12 hours it take for the US army to arrive that is :p

But...old ww2, we was the one country that resisted to be taken over for the longest =)

AND we dont have many good missile targets....

norway is all in all a pretty lousy target aint they? :D

Operation Weserübung, the attack on Norway was launched on April 9th, 1940 - and officially lasted until June 10th 1940.

I wouldn't call that a long time. :p

And dangit, I bet it was hard fighting Messerschmits with wooden dual-winged ww1 planes! We put up more resistance than they expected though, even sank one of their most modern battleship Blücher. Which was filled with special forces that were to march (with a band lol) up to the royal castle and put the king and government under arrest. Norway's military was a laugh, we didn't expect another war. Dangit Chamberlain! :p

At first I thought they might have mistaken them for Denmark... atleast Oslo is so boring no one is gonna miss it ;)

Most of my friends just though it was finaly some real news =)
Most exciting things that happen in norway is ravaging gangs of youths turning cows over to the side =)

Oh, and the war against norway took a looong time, they had estimated about a week or two i belive, didnt they take poland in two days or so? We was the one, or among the one, of the lands they actually took, that they spent the most time taking.

We are talking empire vs norway here, speaking months is loooong, they took major cities in hours with paradrops :p
