1v1 Ladder

As part of the community revival I'm trying to get a 1v1 Ladder Organised. How many people would be interested in a minimum force competition where you guys pick your opponents?

Things are looking good, but I have to wait for BW to launch their game.net web front end for the ladder, that way you'll be able to challenge each other without having to go through me. I assume it'll be upto me to keep an eye on the challenges and arrange admins.

When that goes live so will the Ladder

I just want this thing to start as soon as possible, but I’m still a little concerned about the time :-/

i can vaugly remember being in an unreal ladder on wireplay many moons ago


and as i remember it was up to the players to challenge each other and the looser had to register the defeat on the wireplay website


im not really sure but i think it didnt involve any admins having to do any work (all automated)

i could be wrong though but it would be a simpler way to work the ladder (assuming people do what they are supossed to do and not tell any fibs along the way)

To be honest. I actually want to get stuck into this as much as possible. I'm not sure what the GAME.NET ladder software will be like. I guess we'll see.

Chances are it will require the players to challenge each other but depending on the size of the ladder I'd like to admin it myself in regards to winners/loosers or get the Public admins to do that.

Also, I'd like to have BW Admins in the games purly because I feel it would be more professional if we managed to do it that way. Hopefully that will stop arguments like "He was a kick whore" etc.

Only time will tell, watch out for more info on this when the GAME.NET stuff gets released, according to BW its "Immanent"
