seen something similar to that, but this time the bees won.

apparently, the honey bees covered the hornet with their bodies and practically cremated the thing by increasing their body temperature.

Once got stung by a wasp on the sole of my foot as I walking barefoot across some grass in Spain; as I was hopping about on one foot in agony, stood on another one! Soles of both feet stung - fekkin killer, but the pain didn't last that long, but intense while it did

I've been stung three times. Twice when I was a kid and once more recently. A few years ago I was drivng in my car when I heard what sounded like a bug splatting on the windscreen but it came from my side. Now it was a nice summer's day and I had the window open but didn't think too much of the noise and carried on.

A few seconds later it felt like someone had stabbed a screwdriver into the back of my right hip area. I was on a narrow country road and very nearly crashed the car. I managed ot pull over and leapt out to discover the sound I'd heard was a bee slapping the door frame and falling in the car. Obviously a bit pissed off at having been struck by a car it hunted me down and got it's revenge. I flicked it onto the road and stood on the fucker.

The initial pain and shock was terrible but for about 30 mins or so after that it just stung (sic) for a bit.

My boss recently said he checks his bed each night before he goes to bed in the autumn if he's had his windows open. He says that it's the time of year wasps are looking for warm places to hide and beds are perfect. He's allergic to stings and carries an adreniline pen so I guess he's got more reason than most to be paranoid. I'd never heard of this before but he's got me checking every now and then.

I think I've been stung by wasps 3 times - one of them may have been a bee though. First time was a bit unnerving, really sleepy one landed in my hair, scared the shit out of me then stung me in the back of the neck, it left its sting in (hence I think it may have been a bee, but it did look like a wasp) and then took up residence in my hair again. Bastard.

Second was fairly standard uneventful stinging.

The third still gives me nightmares and bears resemblance to other bed-related incidents above. My bed at home used to be right next to the window and the curtains hanging down would overlap a little with my bed. Basically, a wasp must've been snoozing there when I went to bed, I rolled over in my sleep, knocking the curtains and knocking the bugger into my bed. I turned over, left hand level with my head on the pillow and there's an almighty buzzing. (Y'know how matresses amplify things? Bear that in mind). Needless to say I was stung repeatedly on the hand and have never got out of bed so fast in all my life.

oooh, stings. By big nasty wasps. Yeah, I have my story aswell.

I was about oh.... say 13. Grandma's house, at the country, bed next to window, summer, window semi-open.

There was this buzzing noise in the room, but I ignored it and soon fell asleep. Excruciating pain woke me up, as this creature humped my inner thigh, and stung me there. Swear to god, never seen a wasp (possibly some weird wasp species) so BIG. I mean big, 4-5 cms big (not familiar with inches, sorry). The spot got all red, and there was a big swelling on the spot. I still have a mark there, a small white lump of a scar.

Worst part is that the bastard got away, grandpa honed it away from the room.

I stood on a rotten apple full of bees barefoot in France when I was like 10, had about 7 stings on the one foot. I had to pull the stingers, still pumping venom into me out of my foot. Hurt like hell, couldnt walk on it for a few days.

Wasps rule and i wanna come back as one.

Though, not a dramatic or a scaaaary incident with a bee, mostly comical.

10 years old.

Sitting with cousins on the yard.

The twix commercial was rather new those times, where they click the index and middlefinger together.

Did that, bee got stuck between mid-flight, stung me and got a whooping.

Talk about karate kid chopstick mayhem :p

I got stung on the lip, was about 13 or something and was drinking a nice warm cup of tea on a capsized topper (small 1 person boat type thing) and didnt notice a wasp in it after the sugar, mmm tasty wasp tea. Hurt quite a bit but wasnt too bad cos then I got a speed boat ride back to the first aid bit where a really really fit nurse had to look me over so I wasn't too bothered. :)

I can't remember ever getting stung. I've been bitten by a snake does that count?
