I heard that Zone Alarm wont let me play DAoC but there is a way, does anybody know that way??

because iam Downloading it because Norton Dont Work on my p.c, Black Ice just sucks Egg's so i thought of Zone Alarm

what happens to me sometimes is that when the game gets to the connect screen it wont go any further, for some reason zone alarm loses my settings. However, all u need to do is if i remember correctly is alt y, or ctr y.

Happens to me every patch day.

Its a manual bypass, makes zone alarm accept the connection.

it happens because the executable file has been changed since it last accessed the internet... in which case you will have to allow it to use internet again

To get ZoneAlarm to work with Daoc there are 4 files you have to set to be able to connect to the internet. Those 4 are: camelot.exe, game.dll, login.dll, and patch.bin.

To allow a file to connect to the internet, rightclick in the program settings, and choose "Add program". (For the Pro version). Then check "Allow connect" for all those files. If you are using the shareware version you have to click the "remember" box on the popup window when you connect, and press "Yes". There is one problem I found earlier with the shareware version. That is when you've started to log in, the pop up window doesn't show up, and the computer locks up. Somehow that popup window can't break through the graphics of the login screen or something.

Remeber that there are THREE files that the firewall has to let through.
PATCH.BIN - TCP
LOGIN.DLL - TCP
GAME.DLL - TCP & UDP

Make the TCP and UDP both direction just incase... some only need one-way (in or out) but doesn't matter. Both makes sure it works.

Just load the game , when you get to the loading screen then it will stop , what you cannot see is that right now ZA is asking for permission to let the program access the net , to give it permission push either alt or ctrl + Y , then when you have log'd in , log out again and make sure you tic the "remember this" box under the camelot files , they will be marked with ? now , and should be changed to green X's ok.... this is as thoroug as I can explain it, without drawing it

ok while we are on this mine will not remember the green ticks or red crosses i put in although it will do what i say once i have put them in but as soona s i shut down restart all my setting are gone

any suggestions
