Zepher Bug Abuse

Just now at Notts i was operating a ram on the inner door when a mid from inside the keep used the zepher bug to drag me inside. Now Ive never done this with my Sojo as ive believed it to be bug abuse - i also remember reading somewhere on the friday news that this WAS classed as bug abuse.

Going to log this on Rightnow with some screenshots anyway - but has someone else heard anything from GoA about this ?

Your culprit is Frost the Healer or Koxine the hunter. My guess is frost

nah but seriously, i doubt ppl do it on purpose, a while ago someone FZed someone into zonewall, he got a short ban but doubt that was intentional too, the guy that FZed you was just prolly trying to make u stop using ram

Jsut really want to know what GoA's stance is on this so have rightnow'd it - if they say its fine, ill bloomin well start to use it too - really anoying.

Nah.. that was actually me.. showing my brother how it worked.. and no.. been discussed more than once and is not an abuse afaik.. Anyway.. when operating a ram don't stand that close to the door.. then u wont get hit by PBAE either..

Anyway.. don't think we heard the last zephyr whine yet.. cause this can be done without the gate between the caster and the target.. so u'r actually able to zephyr away an enemy who is alleady hitting u with his weap, wich makes Zephyr a very powerfull tool in melee combat.. tested this in Odins last night and im sure we're gonna see some threads about this in the near future..

instead of banning ppl they should fix it but its a bit like necro when they were hiding pet etc it ill take time b4 mythic fix it but once they find out how to fix it then goa ill know from mythic how to fix it etc

so if u abuse it u ill maybe get a ban just cause they cant fix it yet and ppl can abuse it

I agrree with Araudry below - however until then, GoA must either

1) Ban people using this and class it as bug abuse
2) State its not bug abuse, in which case ill be doing it every night on every damn keep raid

My Savage got Zephyrred inside keep once by Minstrel, that was on purpose for sure. He then killed me there. Was kinda bad since was just me and Moriad attacking the keep duo but he EoY ressed me and eventually we kiled the Minstrel, too (by Zephyrring him when he came out, hehe revenge)

Hope so too, keep checking the rightnow log but no feedback so far from GoA, I've known about this "feature" since getting zepher and reading VN Boards but have never used it as to me it seams like bug abuse, im sure that Mythic or GoA stated it was bug abuse too, still if they say working as intended, ill be on alot more keep defence/raids and will have no hesitation in returning the favour.

Anyway, I know that Mythic knows of this, and I don't think they've said it was a bug, but mebe us ppl don't use it as much as on EU, anyway, just stand from the furthest range you can while operating the ram and you're certainly sure on not being hit by the zehpyr.

Í remember a few months ago a fg albs taking blend. We put a group together and go out there to get it back. First door down and going for the second one. A zerker is hitting the door and get FZ inside the tower by an alb. 2 spread healers i a fop standing and healing him made the albs realy sorry for ever doing that.

Yes this is a bug and it is being fixed in the 1.70 patch.
