vanish is an RA. theres no rule to not using it

running back to a keep is not against the rules and you are free to do it. ive had this done to me many times but i dont complain about it on here because its a waist of time, just deal with it.

well, vanish is bloody handy in some situations I guess though..

when asshatstealthers that pops ppl for zerglings to kill.
ml9pets chasing, even though restealthing they just keep on chasing. That in particular is very cheesy.
guards that easily pops stealthers are an annoyance and vanish helps somewhat vs that at least.

Can agree those can play pretty good but are not worthy to be known as honourable players, both those zerged and added their way to higher RRs.

Not being funny my amigo, But if they have vanish/run its a pretty clever thing for them to do if THEY dont die (I aint a fan of running away but i expect it)

About Vanish - it is a great ability when it works, but the success rate is very hit and miss.
Sometimes you HAVE to use it, especially against Sorcs if they have all their I-win's up. I'm seriously considering doing some run-through (which I never do) on Sorc's because tbh MoC+LT is bullshit :> It's basically free RP. If you miss PA, you are in real trouble, the Sorc usually watches first, then usually a SoI gets used. If you somehow survive that, then a ML9 pet usually gets used on you, if you survive that (well you are going to die, but if you are still beating on the Sorc), out comes MoC+LT and dead.

The general rules that I play by when using vanish:

Never vanish on a 1on1 unless you are about to get steamrolled by a FG that are inc (and if this is going to happen /point like crazy at the FG that are inc so your opponent can also leg it). My theory is that if you start a fight, it should come to a natural conclusion - which means to the death :>
If a Merc uses DT, if Garotte doesn't work, vanish is definitely an option to come back for a 2nd try, 30 secs later.
If a Sorc uses SoI.
If an archer is shooting you from miles away. Close up vanishing is stupid.
If you are hitting a necro pet for (9)

My favourite is when a stealther vanishes against another stealther. Free RP :>

But back on topic, you get people that play the game however they want. Some spend days up a tower and leech RP on any fight nearby. Some run around with a DI Bot or Bodyguard bot or Chain grappling people or with 6 resists, some take more risks than others, some roleplay, some like crafting , everyone plays the game to try and get some enjoyment out of it, so even if someone is playing real lame, there is nothing you can do. Just make sure you are having fun and sod the rest

While I have tried to solo as much as possible on my shadowblade from RR1 there isn't much I can do if another midgardian adds, sadly. No one is perfect right?
