I pretty much only played starcraft this year, but over christmas I finally got round to playing portal and portal 2. Portal 2 came out this year so I guess I pick that

edit: Actually I just played Bastion too and that was awesome. So Portal 2 and Bastion.

Portal 2 - A bit short but loads of fun.
Skyrim - It's just so big! A worth addition to the TES chronicles.
Arkham City - Amazing production quality and the best character models & animations I've seen on a PC so far ... and no, I don't just mean Harley
Bastion - Great little indie game with lots of originality and the best couple of quid I've spent all year.
