The damn thing cost me £400.. but heres what i got:

Athlon 1800+ Processor (1.6GHz?)
Abit Siluro Geforce3 Ti200 128mb DDR
Liteon 40*12*48 CD Rewriter
Soundblaster Live 5.1
40gb IBM Deskstar IC35040AVV07-0
Abit KG7 Raid (Already had)
TaiSol Fan

I would have got a Geforce4 Ti4200 but at the Manchester Show (Where i got 80% of the Stuff), it was valued at £175.. so i stuffed that and went for a GF3..

It took me SEVEN Hours to build this bastard, first 2hours where trying to get the f00kin Motherboard lined up with the Stand-Offs.

An other hour was used up trying to fit the Fan to the Board (Taisol)

On Windows2000 again now.. went in fast but it took some time setting up the Partitions for the Hard Drive, coz my Disk Manager didnt work, so i had to manually set up the Partitions in FDisk.

BTW, anyone know where i can get the ATA100 Raid Drivers for the Hard Drive?

Oh, i forgot to mention.. some evil lil sod decided to make my life hell, i powered up computer, and it didnt come on... now obviously this shit me up, i was panicking like hell.. so, after like 10/15mins of pulling comp back and too out of position, i rang Brother up, he said check the CMOS Switch.. i did so, put it back to the other Tab (It was on "Discharge CMOS") which must have caused it to not power up

Not to freak you out but most mobo manufacturers warn you not to try and power up in that mode as it may damage your mobo ;)

Not as bad as a CPU/mobo bundle I once bought, bastards had put the CPU in 90 degrees round.

Thats inexcusable, a monkey with no arms could have done it faster

:m00:

Btw, I'm pretty sure you don't need raid ata 100 drivers and good choice in parts, you can't really beat that for performance per pound although I'm in no rush and gonna wait till the new ATI line make big waves in the market.

Well, i kinda cheated, because i needed the RAID drivers to get past the Win2000 Install, all i did was look for my ATA66 Drivers (Old HD) bunged that in, and it accepted it.. heh

Forgot about asking this, but, what i meant was, i need the HotRod 100 Pro Diskette itself, so that when i install Win2000 i can allow it to continue Installing, someone give me the diskette, but it looked to have been formatted coz some other crap was on it..

I had to use (But didnt know it would work) the HotRod 66 Pro Diskette.. it allowed me to install luckily..

Bah!! Im noticing everytime Restart/Shutdown it just restarts, and you notice the black screen from Scandisk just showing before it goes off, then it restarts...

Then when you boot it back up, it goes thru Scandisk for some reason...

Ive updated to SP2 but its done nothin...

:/

hmmm... well, last driver i installed was the HPT370 UDMA/ATA100 RAID Controller and Highpoint RCM Device, for "Mass Storage Device"... i do believe this maybe whats causing it..

I would like a software tool that backs up your hd's onto bootable CD's so all you got to do is wack a few cd's in to completly restore your comp, anyone know if such software exists? :)

I just keep all info and software on a Snap server and just do reinstalls instead of fucking a round with images.
