Yet more help needed with 1.4

I've just upgraded to CS 1.4 and 4 out of 5 times it locks up my computer when connecting to servers forcing me to restart my bloody machine, but it's not just online gaming that's affected either, it does the same when I try to use PBOT now!

Is anyone else having this problem or is the someone out there how can help me pls.

Could do a full reinstall, with FULL 1109 and FULL 1.4 version (if you're using the mod version)

I dont think any BOTs are compatible yet with 1.4

Ta for replying all, I think I'll install the retail version of CS that I have and and download the 1.4 upgrade and hope that does the trick.

pbot 2.5 works, apart from on the new maps, unless youve waypointed for yourself.

No, it's still not workingeek: I've just deleted my whole HL folder, installed the retail CS and the 1.4 patch and it's still the same.

Here's the problem in a little bit more detail :- When I try to join a server (any server) and and CS starts to go down that long list of loading things, it gets past the WON authentication, actually joins the server and just before it actually starts it locks up


Can anyone pls throw some light on this prob as I can't play it at all, I know it's the 1.4 patch because it worked fine with 1.3.

You have'nt downloaded the mod patch by accident have you?

You wouldnt need to delete your HL Folder unless you use the Mod Version.

If you installed CS Retail, then you would need to install the Retail Version. It sounds like you installed the Mod because you deleted HL Folder..

Happens to me too in 1.4 Stile.

Try typing retry in console. That seems to work for me.

Problem Solved Did a reformat and reinstalled CS and everything back to normal, thank god.
