Legend of the seeker, excellent show if you like xena/herccilliiis.

Raimi does seem to stamp his name on good fun series, this one seems to be from a similar mold, different world, more budget and it's reeeeeal purty.

Season 2 should be starting next month (fingers crossed).

Yeah, I enjoyed it, then a mate gave me the series of books it is based on. The books are superb as well.

From what I've been told from friends who read the books first, they don't like the show.

Me, I love the show (as I did Xena/Herc) and love the books! I can see where they've made the changes in the tv series, and I can kind of see why they've made the changes and why they left out part 'x' of the book and character 'y' etc.

Am looking forward to season 2, which i'm guessing will be based on book 2 maybe??

Just checked some more; Executive producers Ken Biller and Ned Nalle have revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con that the series will return with 22 new episodes on Saturday, November 7 2009.

Can't look too deeply as i'm still in the middle of season 1, so don't want to spoil it for myself :D

Will have to check the books too, after i'm done with the show. Rarely fans of books enjoy the movies, well, unless you count that harry fella.

Hopefully they will start to cram a couple of the books together, I can't see them doing 11 seasons, so it would be nice to get to the end of the story on screen.

Well Xena ran for 6 and this is a much larger audience/budget (from what i gather, could be wrong about fans).

So if it's good enough for people, it very well could go for a 11 season streak :D

As a fan of the books, I gave it a go, but didn't like it. I doubt they will be following the plot of the books as they get seriously dark towards the end!

Well Terry worked closely with them to make sure they kept the premise of the show on track, he openly admitted that some of the episodes were not in the book, but were relevant to the growth of the characters on screen.

well it's either that, or a story about some hippy on a mythical quest to find a guitar, because after a weekend of huffing the mescaline burner in the desert a talking lizard with boobs told him to.

Despised Xena and Hercules. Legend of the Seeker doesn't seem quite so annoying but not something I'll make a point of sitting down to watch.

FYP.

Although I rather they did a 2000 show anime series than a western TV show.

Since we're already veering off topic I'd love to see a properly done version of The Stainless Steel Rat.

If you have read any Raymond E Feist, David Gemmell, David Eddings...and enjoyed them, you will love this.

Just watched first 2 episodes & its straight out of The Belgariad...nice to see something on tv that's from this genre of books, its cliche BUT I DONT CARE :D

You know it's got to have the fillers for the morons.

Take flash foward as an example the first episode showed us an interesting concept, everything since then with the exepction of 39 seconds at the end of Monday's episode has been utter dross. Yet it's gonna be shown because people have bought into the first episode!!

Yet a TV show like Daybreak gets 6 episodes then gets canned, interesting concept, well acted and great characters!!!!!!!!! Praise the lord someone has bought up the dvd rights and min arrives in 5 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think in this case the morons are the writers. The reason I've decided against watching Flashforward is that I expect it to be just like Lost. Interesting start but then with an idea to make it last as long as possible. This means filling it out with shit that you don't give a fuck about.

It's like watching a porno where the slutty school teacher actually holds detention and never gets round to anything inappropriate.
