Year 2025, 40% in UK without net access?

The constant drive towards the internet has allowed us to buy items online, do our banking, check our bills, order a pizza... the list is endless. More and more businesses are going online and in the near future the sheer number of services online could mean the end of paper as we know it?

BT have published a report, which predicts by the year 2025, 40% of the UK will be without net access. This could cause a number of problems...

"Although the percentage of Britons without home access will have fallen slightly, those that remain digital refuseniks will miss out on more, the report suggests.
As more and more everyday tasks move online and offline services become less comprehensive, the divide will become more obvious and more burdensome for those that have not got net access, it predicts.
"There is a hard rump of have-nots who are not engaging with the net. They don't have the motivation or skills or perceive the benefits," said Mr Hosford.​

BT are only saying this so they can try and sell the "have-nots" with an internet service they dont need or want...

Irrelevant anyway as most of these 'have-nots' will have access by other means if they want it, e.g. mobile or iTV.
