I was down in my mum and dad's house last week, and I found my old collection of Super Nes games (including a couple of Mega Drive games).

This included classics such as Secret of Mana, and Zelda 3: Link to the Past.

Does anyone else still have games going back this far? It's prompted me to seek out a cheap working Super Nes console (I sold it ages ago for something or other), so I can have a bash on these again (despite having them in emulation).

I also found my Jaguar console, replete with Doom and Cybermorph!

:D

I have My super nes!

well did, till my sister saw it one day and took it to uni with her. Bitch. Have about 20 games for it. Plus i have 2 original gameboys! (i.e. the ones that made a brick look like a barbie doll. i.e. looking good and slim)

I also have the little plugin for the Snes where you could play your gameboy games on it.

Ahhh, memories.

I've got my SNES somewhere with a few games. I won't part with it though.

I tried playing the SNES before it left but the TV wouldn't tune into it properly, dodgy cable?

This far? makes it sound like SNES is from another age or so ;)
Still have both NES and SNES tucked away somewhere with a box of games or so.. And the best classic above all got to be NES Zelda 1, the golden disc/casette, was addicted to it and it still rocks! had the NES working a couple of months ago and I finished off Zelda 1 in 1½ hrs just to prove to myself that I stil knew how to play that game.

oh, and Zelda 3, when I got my SNES that was the first game I had on it and still remember my quote when starting it up "omg, look at that graphic!!" :worthy:

Get an xbox and play them all on that. I've been playing a bit of Final Fantasy 3 on it - it's fantastic!

Oh and it's not even a nostalgia buzz as I never owned a SNES :)

I've got two Atari 2600 consoles in the loft and a box-full of cartridges to go with them. They were both still working when I put them up there eight years ago, although I don't think they have any controllers.

Think I'll go have a look on Ebay and see if there are any of the Atari joysticks around. In my opinion they were the sturdiest joysticks ever made. They could take any amount of abuse you could throw at them. They just don't make them like they used to.....

Not quite, as the Classic tracks in the GBA version have no obstacles on them, which makes them 10 times easier.

Oh and I also found my original GB as well Munkey - dunno if it works, isn't charged :)

And yeah, that far - 12 years is a long time in gaming to be going back. I still have my original Doom diskettes (all 4) somewhere, and I'm sure my Doom 2 CD is about the place too.

I downloaded Shining Force 2 to have another go at it, as finding the cart reminded me that I never finished it. Great tactical RPG.

And Lagoon for the Super Nes is still shit.

Also found Striker, Krusty's Super Fun House, Starfox, Stunt Race FX, Syndicate, SF2: Turbo, Simcity, Shadowrun, Alien 3, Earthworm Jim for the Megadrive, Virtua Racing for the MD, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Desert Strike for the MD etc.

Gah, memories.

:D

Just a pity I'd sold Super Metroid (with it's huge fuck off box), Super Mario World, DKC, SMK and a couple of others.

I probably left my NES / SNES in the basement of my house when I left the isle of man but bought my N64 with me. I have gbc and a gba.

Zelda in the NES was the most addictive game I have ever played closely followed by Zelda 3 a link to the past.
