xp - broken task manager

my task manager is broken
for agrs now whenever i go into it
the menu's and tabs are missing making it a pain in the ass to look at a defferent area...

to change say from open threads to cpu usage i have to hit tab till nothing i can see is selected then use the arrow keys to change....

does anyone know how to fix this????

i think it may have been caused by hitting a wierd key combination when my computer was locking up once...

I had this on nt4 a while back, double click on the 'thick' bounday around task manager. In fact, if I recall a double click on any part of the grey (or whatever you've set it to) should bring back your tabs

I assume it's some kind of crappy hiding technique to stop kids getting to the system tasks and causing all kinds of trouble (maybe)

TBH I just reckon it's so you can view the data easier.
