XML (for GOA employees)

Just a quick question regarding the XML undertaking by GOA (and Mythic) - what are your plans for releasing the Guild Information in XML format?

And as you have closed the Official Forums, is it possible to provide a news feed as well (similar to the Herald).

The reason i ask is - my guild visits my site, and generally do not visit other DAoC sites. Therefore i would like to keep them informed of any server downtime/events etc (as i can not be viewing your site 24 hours a day).

Any information would be appriciated.

Well now, I don't know the plans for releasing the XML Guild info since I am not a GOA employee of any sort, but I do now that, as Kemor stated in his closing-the-forums-announcement, they are making a news tool of some sort that will replace the announcements board that is no more.
Unfortunately I can't quote this part anymore since the forums won't work anymore.... but some other thread on this board I was able to quote it still.

I was just hoping to get a response from them to see if they were gonna release it out to guild/fan sites, or if they were gonna just develope it for their own site.

I doubt you will get an answer from GOA here unless Kemor actually has the time to check this thread...
On the euro DAoC site they have now added the stuff needed to setup the server status on websites and guides on how to do it...

Yup - got all that done. I have even set up the code ready for the XML files for the guild (based on the Mythic Template).

Don't wanna use right now - as it is not a problem, just a request (and i don't wanna waste their time - they are hard pressed as it is (and i used to work on an IT Helpdesk - so i know it is a thankless job)).

As they are Mods, i thought they may pop in every now and then

About the Kemor thing, I doubt he will be posting much (hmm, wonder why).

What abour making the announcment in a XML file to? That would help spread the work fast

And using RightNow isnt a waste of time.. its the only way to talk to GOA right now isnt it?
