What sort of editor? If your just changing XML files then notepad is fine. If you want more complex behaviour like validation etc XMLSpy is a good option. I tend to use XMLSpy in the commercial environment in conjuction with Biztalk and some of its associated applications. In the home just plain old notepad.exe for editing and use MSXML.dll courtesy of IE to validate the XML.

Edit: XMLSpy has a free trial version for download.

cool ty...i was looking to do xml to web style work (i'm a xml noob, but wanted to give it a go)

something like duskwave but for my characters/guild only. (plus i'm bored at work)
