Yes, I know it's shit, and exploitative, and so on and so forth. But I watch it anyway, because my soul is black and my tastes are low brow.

However, watching tonights episode I swear they have autotuned a lot of the acts. It sounded like Cher had escaped the old folks home, and was frantically throwing her voice offstage. Now, considering this is a programme that eventually gets daft people to part with their money in order to vote, doesn't manipulating the "live" auditions recordings seem almost fraudulent?
