Anyone out there know if the x-box can output progressive scan images when connected to a suitable TV and playing back suitable Region 1 DVD's?

Xbox supports progressive scan for games but not DVDs.

cheers guys, a mate of mine is going to New York soon and hes going to pick me up some fancy mod chip for about $30 that hopefully should do the trick.

well a site did a pctorial showing wot bits needs to soldring without adding a chip, but its was pulled withn a few hours.
