XBox 360 or the Playstation 3?

Having a huge problem deciding on which one I eventually want to buy, with the release of TWO Final Fantasy games (1 on each) It's becoming a pain to decide which one I eventually want to buy. (Of course other games too!)

I'm aware of what each console can do aswell.

FF12 coming out on Xbox appareantly, but what's the one coming out on PS3?
So far, the Xbox looks fairly impressive, tho the games out hardly suit my taste, but Sony didn't release a lot of PS3 material yet, so it's hard to tell what that'll be like.
I can't really compare the consoles, as things are atm, but one thing that makes me prefer the Xbox would be the on-line support, as the Xbox live stuff and multiplayer support on the previous Xbox was supposed to be pretty good, while the PS2 on-line stuff was far from tempting

The PS3 controllers looked kinda uncomfy, tho that's hard to tell from pictures I guess. The PS2 controllers were my all-time-favourite controllers tho, real nice

I'll probably wait with my decision until both the consoles are out, and by that time the new Nintendo console should be released as well, regardless of how silly the thing looks at the moment.
The new Sony console is meant to have some really good specs, better than the Xbox 360's, but time will tell. According to some site Sony will try to make the console run at 120 fps, which might be nice in the future, but is fairly useless atm as the average TV can only display half of that, and it most likely won't drop the price

I forgot to mention I was rather disappointed with the games released on the PS2, and a lot of games released on the Xbox just seemed a lot nicer, which is also a big factor.

Not really, as the human eye can only see like 20 fps ;x The average cinema plays movies at 24fps i.e., and they look just fine to me, and the same goes for the somewhat higher fps on regular tv's.
The only thing it improves is that it makes it seem somewhat smoother, appareantly, tho it will actually be harmful for your eyes if they'd increase the fps more :/
Personally, I don't see the point.

Oh, that FF7 game meant to be released, will that be FF7: Cerberus' Derge, or whatever it was called? The one about that stealthy character If so, I'd probably prefer FF12, as a nice, totally new FF game, after several years :e

FF7 on the original Playstation was the best fucking game i've ever played. Enjoyed that game more than anything else i've ever played.

I prefered FF8, but yeah, FF7 was really nice too What I meant was, that I can't really think of an interesting 100-hour RPG revolving around whatever his name was, tho the FF12 main character, once again, seems to be a total retard, just like in FF10 ;<

Don't want Playstation becuz of that stunt Sony did making a spy-bot on their CDs!!!! AND THEN DENYING IT!!!! AND FURTHERMORE MAKING IT EVEN WORSE realeasing a "fix" that opened the "door" for others aswell!!!!!

The Xbox and accesoires/games etc will prolly be cheaper than the PS3, as Microsoft actually seems willing to invest and sell at somewhat decent prices, while Sony, at least on the PS2 prices were retarded, and the games were like 10 euro's over the Xbox games iirc.

Yeah, 8 was ok but i preferred the more 'cartoony' approach in FF7. 9 i didn't even pick up, had no real interest in that one. 10 i really enjoyed, first one on a new console, graphics and general overhaul was quite nice. 11 i barely glanced at either.

i dont think i will buy the 360. i havent paid £50 for a game, ever.

when the prices drop to that of the xbox and all the games are out, then i think i may buy one.

but my pc will still be better, so i wonder will there be any point?

Appareantly, FF7: Cerberus is coming out on the PS2, as is FF12. The FF game coming out on the Xbox 360 is FF11 (yes, the shitty online game :E), which will no doubt be exactly the same as the PC version, apart from the graphics. I guess that means FF11 on the Xbox 360 would be the best looking MMORPG out, graphics-wise.
I still, however, don't know what FF game will be released on the PS3, tho I'd guess it won't be FF12. Hopefully it'll be FF7:Cerberus, as FF11 is shit, to be fair.
