Has anyone seen it yet? Seeing it tonight, had to wait 2 days to cash in on my ticket promotion discount ( :D ) . Huge fan of the X-Men cartoons, liked the films too, just a shame about the lack of main characters from the cartoons. Saw the trailer while watching hang over 2 (Trailer ) and it looks quite shit, mostly due to the acting cast. And bit like, super heros save America ballshit against Iran, Korea or Russia you see in most films atm, rather than fighting other Mutants.

But I withhold judgement till I watch.

I enjoyed it, I'm just a massive superhero geek though. They've got some really cool mutants in it, some nice powers, good to see a bit of a change.

I really liked how Prof X and Magneto are portrayed in their youth, especially X quite funny :)

Watched it a few days ago, very good most of the time and excellent in places (for a superhero flick) so it is well worth a watch. Hopefully they will get the two sequels they are after as well.

Really enjoyed it. Much better than the third X Men film and even Wolverine's cameo was better than his prequel film which, to be honest, was turd.

Well I watched it, was "ok" imo, not great but not shit. good actors for Xav and Mag, rest were, meh to shit.

Spoiler
Plot was good, scripts and actors not so much, whats with the harry potter style films these days? All the child like humour, and every time they do something they have to say COOL and make a bad joke.

First one was way better, shame really, most movies suck these days and look like clones.

Aye, so much shite coming out of Hollywood these days.

Currently watching Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958). A classic.

Really? I thought James McAvoy was underused if anything and the actors playing Beast and young Mystique were absolutely excellent.

I've always thought Mystique would make the perfect girlfriend....

"Tonight I want to sleep with you looking like Emma Watson, tomorrow you can be Heather Graham and Tuesday I'd like to bone Katy Perry."

..... well, perfect assuming she can cook and iron.

saw it on wednesday and loved it. Plot wasn't too bad, there were a few lines which were pure cheese that triggered my cringe reflex, but otherwise it wasn't to bad at all.
I loved seeing magneto and xavier working together and the setting of the cuban missile crisis really worked well.
Emma Frost was amazing as was magneto, xavier was good and I got a chuckle out of his chatup lines. I felt the tension between mystique (blue and proud) vs xavier (your "blue" problem) was really interesting combined with the beasts viewpoint.

Tbh I really enjoyed it, and there were some cool demonstrations of superpowers which is always awesome :D
Felt sorry for the kid that could adapt to everything who then died because of the energy in the mouth thing.
They could have explored the kids charachters a bit more, I felt they were more just filler and bait for the big guys.
It would be nice for a X:men semester two or something, where you see some of the more well known super heros showing up along with some greater involvement from some of the ones we've seen. Cyclopse, iceman, storm, jean, seeing them in class would be amazing.
I really enjoyed it :)

Watched it last night, really enjoyed it. The back and forth between Xavier and Magneto was brilliant. Had to laugh at the guys sat behind us, when they saw Havok they said 'Whats up with Cyclops stuffs coming from his body' his friend returned with 'nah mate hes in an accident and then it comes out his eyes'

That film totally makes up for the directionless & pointless Xmen 3 and the totally awful Wolverine.

Wolverine was alright, even if not true to the comics. X3 was a true shocker, they utterly botched the Phoenix storyline because they couldn't afford the effects are paying that useless bitch Halle Berry $30 million for what was effectively a minor part.

Loved it , but my disbelief suspension gland was worn out.
How many times did my brain shout..'why doesn't xxxx do this to yyyy?'
They didn't even bother with a cheesy excuse, just ignored it.
Unless 'I promise not too' covers all bases.

Good, entertaining, wasn't bored, worth money, bla di bla :p

Though could've used a tweak in the mutant choice department.

It's a comic book movie. When did comic books become an adult only thing? :p
You know what I mean, the cartoon was more suitable for adults than the movie. And plus, what children would remember X-Men? I want to see some blood, more adult like dialect, better actors and more true to the original.

X-Men Cartoon Complete Seasons 1-5 Torrent - btjunkie - looks like the original 90s Cartoon? Don't want any re-dubbed shit with better CGI or different voices.

Don't really agree with it being childish but as for gore and violence etc, its going to be toned down. Hollywood tend to make mainly Teen rated movies at the moment to pull in the numbers. 18 or over they don't make as much money and count on the DVD sales for profits.
