A friend just emailed a link to this, some service for sharing pictures or something.

The stupid thing is that it openly asks for your email address and password.

What on earth?

I imagine the email address is your username for the site, and the password is the password to said site, not you actual password to access your email account :p

Well thats what normally happens, however it said 'your gmail password' 'your hotmail password' etc. Odd.

Yeah. Usernames are soo <pick a year from 1995 to 2004>...

Loads of sites use email addresses for sign-in now, although I do agree that just labelling the boxes "Email" and "Password" could be made a lot clearer for the less computer literate. I mean, I know for sure that my Gran would type her Gmail details straight in...

Edit:// Although on closer (but not thorough) inspection, that site does seem like it does something with email, so maybe it's not so clear-cut.

Oh I see where you mean, heh, yea, probably passes through to the relevant login prompts, still wouldn't trust it though :p
