WWI Colour Photos

I found this collection of WWI Colour Photos on fazed.org absolutely brilliant, the colour camera was invented in 1903 by Auguste and Louis Lumière so they might well be real colour photos, not touched up in photoshop.

Stunning photos, it just makes it all seem so much closer. Sparked off quite a debate now on IRC about if they're real or touched up.

I suspect a bit of both

Er can you not read? It tells you on the page they're French photos that have been digitally colourised...

Even if they were taken in colour, the colour would not have been like that. Colour film in those days was terrible.
