Hi all :)

I am currently reading The Band Of Brotheres book after watching the series, are there any more books about WW2 that are worth reading? I have tried to look on Amazon, but dont know where to look really. I have read the wooden horse and enjoyed that.

TIA :)

You could give the Sven Hassel books a go, can be quite hard going, but interesting in a slightly strange way. You'll probably have to ebay for them too as they are looong out of print.

I just read Pegasus Bridge by Stephen Ambrose which was good, but only took about 2 hours or so to read.

To Hell and Back is one of the best I've read.
Author was Audie Murphy, as its a story about himself.

A Bridge Too Far by Cornelius Ryan - factual novel on which the famous 1979 film was based. Operation Market Garden.

Douglas Reeman does good nautical WW2 books, read all of them and found them not bad. The minesweeper one is the best imo
