Btw, thought this would be usefull info.. Somebody i know, pm´ed a GM and asked about the golm.. it turned out the gm told him to NOT camp on the island.. but in the water.. after he got off the island and camped from water it spawned the night after..
Not really sure its true.. but wtf.

Its a fairly good warning for afk campers really, there are a number of artis which will not spawn if you are to close to the coordinates they spawn at...
