Imo idea of trading thread is to make ppl interested and getting em to bid more and more..(the starter of the trading thread should also set a date when the item is sold to the higgest bidder). And to sell to the person who bidded the most amount of gold to the item in question. Setting the starting price to so high.. its so amateur like. Do you really think that ppl start to bid, when the starting bid is so high?
