None of my chars can use...

So why roll for it then?

I think it's about time we brought back raid rules that define Class specific rolls only - that way people who can actually use the stuff get to roll for it.

IMHO of course.

I agree Dan, but with a couple of caveats;

1) If you allow strict "roll for the class you brought" rules only, you'll have raids failing due to the 16-stealther-to-1-cleric ratio. It's more important the raid is successful than that the "right" people get drops.

2) If you allow rolling for alts, how do you confirm someone has that class? If I want an ML10 Smitz0rCleric Helm of DOOOOOOOOM!!!!111 because I know Glamis will pay 200p for it, I can just lie and say I have a cleric alt.

As long as people want money, don't think there's much we can do. We can also apply some Eggy(TM) wisdom and say that if we allow FFA lottos, then more raids will be successful and more people will come to get items to sell. That way there will be more quality items on CMs and (eventually) for lower prices. Some things seem to have taken a real nosedive in price recently. GoV for 20p on CMs?

To be honest, I think there is no sane alternative to FFA lottos, even though they do encourage the whole "greed b4 need" thing.

I dunno...answers on a postcard please. :)
