WTF! Who decided that war spear shafts sell for _0_ !?

I'm a junior fletcher, just broke the 300 skill limit. I needed to get woodworking up to advance in my skills. I decided that war spear shafts are a better way to get it done than those boring breadboxes (would have taken ironwood for boxes but spearheads took only oak, so the price is the reason why).

Well, gains sure were good but when it was unloading time...:"Merchant Doobie gives you 0 gold for the war spear shaft" Wtf! I'm being robbed here! There should be like a big red popup over these items that say "we sell for 0".

Ok, I know that I should make spear heads to make a full weapon BUT i can't since a) no money left to buy raw materials, b) no weaponcrafting skill to make the final wep. I thought I could sell the shafts alone for decent return to continue training.

Left with no money and pi$$ed off. Need to go hunting... *yawn*

I have an alt ranger with fletching skill. The first set of task arrows I made was the basic lowest ones. The NPC gave me 0 copper.

I think there may be 2 reasons:

1 The value of the item being sold is too low to register any money.
2 There is a bug (use RightNow to report this).

Usually selling back trinkets does give you a loss but at least you get something back rather than nothing.

A war spear shaft is a part of a war spear and ALL weapon parts have to be made into a weapon to be worth anything.
To increase your woodworking skill by making weapons make those blunts which waponskill required is yellow or orange. You probably wont make an increase on making the wood bit of a weapon, but when you assemble the whole weapon you will get a woodworking increase.

The cheapest arrows you can make, wont sell for anything because you can get them for free from the ranger trainer.
This is to stop people from getting them for free and them selling them for a few coppers over and over again.

I never thought of that reason but it makes sense. Stops someone becoming rich for free (even though it would take ages).
