Shields are alot easier to craft than weapons/armour

material cost of a single shield is 24g - you loose 6g per craft - so even if u have to make 100 - the cost is still only about 680g - so yes expecting 1.5plat for it is taking the piss....

i bought one for 1plat on the market and i found an MP exceptional rapier (i know its a lot slower weapon - but with capped qui will do more damage anyhow) for 250g on prydwen

They still take exactly the same amount of time though.

Its great and all you spamming that link, but i guess you haven't exped a crafter up before and know how much time and effort it takes to craft MP items.

I had a lgm sc'er, armourcrafter, got to 950+ in weaponcrafting and alchemy (before i sold my accounts )

I know how long it takes to do stuff, and how long it takes to level a crafter - and no before you say it - i didnt use any macro program - simply 3 accounts on 3 separate pc's that did different things whilst i was rvring on my main, buffing with second and crafting with the 3rd

like i said - im all sorted - and paid the prices that i thought was fair (1plat for the shield is a fair price) - its all other people who keep bumping up this thread - i simply showed u guys the actual cost of the stuff.

ohnoes you sure showed us :E... please teach me some more lessons on how to play the game, tbh iv been knowen to pay 3 + plat for a MP shield.. when someone was crafting t for me.. why might you ask becuase its effort you should be thankful that people take the time out. to craft items that you need in the first place, yes somethings are over prices <cough> chain amor has been well over priced for about a year not.. but we still pay it because there are fewer and fewer crafters that are willing to craft now.. so rather than bitch about the price go out and farm some plat not like its hard ><

I am amazed that people litteraly spend hours ingame working on some MP item just to gain a few hundred gold. Or perhaps a tad more if he is lucky and gets it in less then 50 tries.

Personally I rate my ingame hours quite high and I can really understand why people would want 10-20p for a MP item.

Then again thats just me, Im still thankful for the fact that there are others willing to do it cheaper.
