Get maps of the housing zone (like in your UI maybe) and just walk around ALL the villages one evening earmarking nice lots. Then pick one. Lots of lots can be bought for just 300g, and then after blowing another 1p for a cottage (or whatever floats your boat), hey presto! Home sweet home!

he has a house in the celtic fist housing area afaik and is selling as he wants to move in beside his guildies - its a great area and everyone in cf dont seem to need the house right now so its for sale at standard price i believe -
its close to a market / stable and area is nice etc -
