GMT= the time in the Canary islands atm ( 1 hour less then UK time atm )
BST= UK time atm.
CET = central europe (UK time +1 hour)

so 15:00 in europe is 14:00 in the UK and 13:00 in the Canary islands

thats what i got taught in my spacker of a school anyhow

My point was, that during the winter the swedes have ( we ) gmt+1 and the uk ppl gmt (our clock is one hour b4 urs) , so when the clock went forward to summertime uk ppl got gmt+1 and we swedes got gmt+2, but I guess u still call it gmt and gmt+1 since we will always be 1 hour ahead of u :D :confused:

ill explain again

In winter the UK share the same time zone as some spanish island just off Africa called the Canarys. These island are very close to the equator and dont do the whole clock forward and back every winter n summer because there days stay the same pretty much and they have summer near all year round the lucky bastards.

Now in summer to save on daylight hours the UK (and most of europe) put there clocks forward an hour. Now the uk is on a different time to the Canarys and every other country in the world so we get our own specific time called BST (brittish summer time) and the Canarys stay on GMT.

Well, doh!?...
Point was if u can call UK time gmt+1 now in the summer ( as some do ) and then the swedish time wich used to be gmt+1 ( in winter when uk time is gmt ) would be called gmt+2 since we turn our clocks 1 our forward... :eek:

TBH NM, all countries that had gmt+1 will still be one hour ahead uk so it doesnt matter :cheers:
