Wow @ the Behn seige.

Only been back on daoc 2 days now, and last night was the 1st keep seige i witnessed in new frontiers. It was at Behn, albs vs hibs, i got there at midnight when i finished work, and until half 2 in the morning it was backwards and forwards albs pushing in hibs pushing them back out to their tower with seige fire flying everywhere between the keep and the tower.
I went to sleep at half 2, logged back on at 11am today and the seige was still going! I quickly rejoined it and after another couple hours of great fun we finally broke the hibs and took the keep.
Just have to say grats to the albs and the hibs for that monsterous 12 hour+ seige, made me realise why ive come back to daoc.

it wasn't that many albs, we managed to defend bolg and behn (well, till today around noon) when at the start of the raid there was a ml9 raid in hib which took a LOT of people out of rvr

I'll give you hibs this - you defend 10 times better than the mids with half the numbers.

took you 5 hours till you realised your own keep was going down (blendrake) and we were only 5 people. when i mobilized half of hibernia to go for beno we had an instant-alb zerg of about 100 people in a matter of minutes. high RR ones too, st3 + twf3 fucking us over royally

was on oil but the trebs and stuff take 1/3rd of my hp each shot, so changed to nuking noobie albs through the murderholes

once i finally got inside that is

I'm impressed, yes, true, its not often

but those hibs at Da Behn this night and day, well until we albs took it...

Awsome defense by very few ppl
stood inside the keep on a tower and watched the few hib's run back and forth, die by infi/scouts, get rezzed then buffed and then run back out again through the hole

shoot the hibs a few times from the back, fun =)

well done, it was fun

impressed that u can hold us albs back so darn well, and thats without AOE AOE AOE AOE AOE AOE ak'a the mid way

Yes it was nice siege yesterday at behn. The best fights at least when i was tehre were done on the side doors.

Killed you twice you bugger, after smacking the crap out of me a couple of times too!!!

I joined the fight last night at about 9:00pm GMT and hung around for a while taking pot shots at Elwizardo and Stajjijjon (christ that guy moves quick). Was a good fight while I was there, very good fun, which is what this game is all about. It is good to see that the spirit of competition has not died in some players and giving us Albs a run for our money.

As I have said in a previous post, if the albs have the numbers then alternatives to that for the other realms need to be found. That's kinda stating the obvious really, but cannot be said enough imo. There is no point in quitting the game because of the immediate percieved strength that the albs have. The strengths you had in old frontiers are either lessened or diminished altogether, but that cannot be the way. There must be strengths, there ARE strengths that the Mids & Hibs have that can be utilised. Maybe the free respec from NF will help in finding these. I know many albs have altered their characters, eg Wizards shying away from PBAoE Ice specs back to chucking fireballs around. Maybe the other realms need to alter too.

I'm sure with a little thought you'd be back to wtfpwning the albs again in no time. Also, dont forget, NF has only been out for a little over 3 weeks. This is a Marathon, not a sprint.

Aye, grats hibs, even though we outnumbered you by some ratio at the start, you wouldnt have been able to tell by all the green killspam (Staj and Elwizardo being the main culprits could never get a lock on either of you for long ).

Once we got onto the inner keep it got more balanced, especially the various fg incursions from outside kept us on our toes. Had to log around 1am (getting up for work was painful this morning), cant believe it carried on for so long
