WoW Stresstest

Since I recently moved to sesame street, NY, Texas, I was able to sign up for zee grande WoW stresstest.

Played it for a day or two and I must say I am very, very impressed. PvE is quite easy/fun, seeing as there are various quests and mobs to gain exp from. Exping is quite fast as well. I'm plaing a tauren druid atmo, but apart from healing and buffing, which I thought would be my main job, I have a lot of ranged spells that root/mezz/dd n do other funky stuff, and I have a whole skill-line dedicated to shapeshifting & abilities you can only perform while walking around as a bear/cat/whatever. I'm deffo enjoying this class more than any other class I tried.

They seem to be working on PvP alot atmo, an "honor" system or w/e is designed and they are implementing PvP rewards, so I reckon that in the end the game will still be interesting to be play.

Anyone else who got in, or is planning to play the US open beta next week?

It'll be open beta next week, you'll have to sign up fast once it's open though 'cause there's a limited amount of open beta slots.

The stress test is North America afaik, and it's still possible to sign up to it, even from DK, just add an US address or something, cant remember how to do it, 2 friends did it and they're playing it atm..

You can join Stresstest atm if you have an active Gamespy account I think. So, go pay Gamespy to start playing a few days earlier than open beta (which starts next week I believe)!

I got into the OB. Downloading it now, it's at 31% but it will probably be finished at around 1AM tonight so I won't be able to play till tomorrow morning.

I went to a lan cafe at Saturday night with some friends in order to farm some cush at DAoC. When we arrived there Heliriah had just finished dl'ing WoW stresstest. Lucky me I had my Credit Card with me and we immidietly singed up and started playing... and it WAS GREAT! who the fuck cares now about artifact farmers, rvr zergers and greycon killing, about NF and their free skill repsec?!! The intro will DEFINETELY gives you the chills and even though it is a bit cartoonish (the game) it is still great! Towns are like OMG with the comlexity and size and it has the most funnny emotes I have seen!

Already? Wow.

It's ok - not the world-shattering event that many had talked about. What's good about it is that you can log in and straight away do something - very little down time in terms of waiting for groups etc.

It reminds me an awful lot of Asheron's Call 2 - both graphically and combat-wise - although there's actually people in it, which there never was with AC2.

Not sure if I'd move to it from DAoC, as it's impossible to tell what the end game would be like.
