How many here used a proxy and got on it ?
I did, have to say i kinda like it, pve is hell of alot more interesting then daoc's. Graphics are nice, only other mmorpg ive played apart from daoc where i like the style of the art.
Classes seems nice only tried a tauren warrior and a gnome rogue but they are fun to play and many different skills to use. Craft system is good also, auto queue feature ! no more pressing 11111111. Many different skills you can learn mining fishing skining then ofcourse the making of weapons and armor.
Main point im interested in is pvp and how it will compare to daoc's but as they have yet to add the pvp reward system (expected next patch) plus a seven day stress test dont give me chance to test it much, i cant really comment on that. I look forward to the euro beta.
So is wow the replacement for daoc ? I think people who like pve in daoc will love pve in wow ... daocers who only play for rvr ... like i said cant comment on that but horde vs alliance is very much like rvr in daoc, instead of keeps you can claim towns and such. Alot will rest on that but from what ive played so far i can say ill be playing wow for sure.
