Telia are running the servers yep but they're still physically based in Paris so I suspect it'll have to go over opentransit at some point.

I think Telia already has a server center in Paris, but I assume you'll still have to use opentransit backbone routers when connencting from the UK.
I just hope we don't have to use WanaDoh

just done a tracert to the Telia web server looks like I'm going to have to use the following networks to get there

Telewest -> Verio -> Telia

Although it did appear to get onto the Telia network in London.

193.44.158.232 I just looked up the ip for telia.se which the above link used. Although after doing a whois on the ip i realised thats actually located in Sweden, unfortunatly I havn't been able to find a Paris server to trace yet.

maybe I should be looking at battle.net or the WoW european site.

80.239.178.20 this ip is for the EU WoW site. and it goes through the Telia Paris exchange. After that is anybodys guess since it seems to have a firewall which dislikes pings. Although the whois info does say its located in France.

Correct, telia.se is in sweden ofc.

If you try to traceroute www.camelot-europe.com .. you will see that it goes threw opentransit. .. but not on wow-europe.com .. you can't see what it goes threw there.. so perhaps it isn't going threw opentransit?

I don't think it goes through opentransit myself. Because by the time we loose the trace it has already joined the Telia network.

We'll never have a definitive answer though.

Opentransit == France Telecom *Shudders*

I go through routers maintained by Abovenet and RIPE.

So no OpenTransit it seems, which should be nice :)

Have to worry about NTLs routing though, which seems incredibly bad (going up north to Manchester and Leeds, before going to London)

I did a traceroute to the WoW europe site, I connect through BT broadband, and it doesn't as much as touch open transit \o/
