What type of PvP will you offer?
We know that the player vs. player (PvP) option is very important to many gamers. Therefore, we plan to incorporate a form of player conflict into the World of Warcraft. However, players who do not wish to be participate in PvP combat will not be required to do so. The PvP system will be incorporated in a consensual way that will be fun for those who wish to take part in this form of combat. Announcements regarding PvP options in the World of Warcraft will be announced in the months ahead.
If they get this right WoW will the the last one standing

It is a map and if u dont want it you can simply click it off.. easy as that.
daoc looks like shit compared to WoW and im gonna quit as soon as wow comes out.

hmm.. cute.. i dont know about that.
when u attack a target in wow (or even kill it) it starts to bleede and you can see on a player if hes low on HP (blood, damages on armour and clothing) The melee combat looks more realistic in wow than in daoc.
Is that cute?
and there is more controll in WoW instead of just click, hit, click hit, take a hit, click, hit.

I sincerely hope that WoW doesn't go the way of The matrix: Reloaded and become a victim of it's own hype. I'm still hoping Blizzard put in a Lurikeen-like race so i can play teh annoying midget again \o/
edit, the more i think about it, and look at this spider, the more it creeeps me out, i mean, even as 'cartoony' as peopl esay it is, and not being afraid of spiders, that thing still sends a shiver down my spine just looking a it oO

Of all the various mmorpgs that are in the pipeline, this looks to be the one that will draw me away from DAOC. Looks great, and Blizzard rarely comes out with a bad product in my opinion (ok, their security has left something to be desired in the past, but their gameplay's been top notch).

yup i agree, looks superb so far, but i am still worried about the PvP-part... its the only thing that could make me steer clear of WoW, if its shait that is
And I so do hope buffbots will be shit in it aswell, we all know what bots have done to daoc for the PvP-part
