Instead of sitting with mouse poised over "play" alongside dozens of other ppl trying to get on, why didnt they implement a queue system, where u click on play and join the queue to get on, it'd prollyonly take a few mins.... better than the seemingly random chances of ever getting on.... Mythic said that the numbers'd drop, but whos planning on leaving? Over 1000 players would have to leave right at this moment to make some kind of a difference

I think they should have a queue system for whines about not getting on Camlann. That would have been better :p

I'll refrain from flaming GOA's implementation of the PvP for a few more days, there last comment to me was the server would calm down after a few days and people would be able to login. Well its nearly a week and its STILL constantly full.

A queue system would be great but only mythic could implement it so it probably won't be one ;<

Why are u calling this thread a whine btw...

its being called a whine, as people are whining about someone having an idea to improve the system instead of simply whining about it .....

What more is there to add then say yes? Ideas on how to implement it? That is quite damn straight-forward so you really can't add much input to this except a "yes".

Explain how then. A queue system for a server with a soft cap. How please. Do you propose a queue server that you connect to, which then process the queue 1 by 1. All the time tracking LDs/quits/Windows key mishaps/Windows crashes etc. And what happens when the queue gets full, breaks down, goes hatstand etc..we will then get whines that TEH QUEUE SYSTEM HATES MEH!!111

Under these circumstances (PvP server is oversubscribed) they could put free complimentary champagne and dancing girls on for the people who can't get on Camlann, and people would still whine.

If you can't get on because Camlann is full, try again, and again, and again. The server isn't singling you out for any special attention you know. It doesn't favour layabout spotty no-life teenagers over man with 2 kids and a life. If your request to connect hits when theres a space, BANG your'e in, if it's full tough luck.

Live with it.

agree on queue system

at least then instead of sitting for 20mins trying like fuck to get in every time it updates, you can be told it will take you 20mins to get in and u can leave the PC til it connects.

I can't believe why people continue whining about not getting on the server. I never have to wait for more than 10-15 minutes and that's a time I'm willing to wait, if it's to much for you my proposal is that you wait 2-3 weeks and I'm sure the server will have many slots available for you.

because some of us have to pay by the hour to play daoc (i have to play from internet cafe). so sitting around for 20mins kinda grates.

That's very understandable but I don't think a que system would help you very much anyway since there is alot of people tryin to get in and some give up after a while. With a que system every1 would put themselves in que. That would probably make the que very long and in many cases, not all, make yer waiting time even longer.

If u are put in a waiting que for 20mins wouldn't u still have to pay for the time?
And the que program (if there was one) could never estimate when people are going to leave unless u want to insert a playing time for every1 and when it runs out they get kicked out.
