I bet you it can't hold sound nor any form of heat..

But I guess Haiti wouldn't mind either

The TPR panels are bolted together to form the load bearing frame of the house which can be externally clad with brick, block or stone, with the interior insulated and plastered as any other house. The roof is tiled from recycled materials.
Affresol managing director Ian McPherson said TPR was stronger and lighter than concrete, waterproof, fire retardant, did not rot and had excellent insulation properties.

So yes, they do provide "excellent insulation properties" [sic], plus is intended to be insulated on the inside, and plastered.

I'm much more worried about creep though. Any viscoelastic (i.e. plastics) suffer from this property, which I assume would be pretty nasty with flooring etc.

I was more concerned about possible toxins tbh than this, but thanks for the heads up :)

But given that it is in the project state, or beta if you like, then you would have to assume this is just a prototype and your suggestion has already been taken into account ;)

Imagine the fire hazard.. When the fire department reaches the house it'll look like the Christmas tree Bart burned down

If i could, i'd love a bunker though.

It would be viable IF people move away from the conscientious that their home is their main priority & should be exactly as they want it.

Be interesting to hear market values though.

would be nicer than my flat tbh probably less toxic/fire hazzards too and I doubt slugs can penetrate it as easily! lol
