Playing with the catacombs character build, thinking of playing a ShadowBlade & Shaman combo after i get my Berserker and Shaman combo to 50

Dont know much about SB so here is a spec tell me what you think.

39 Stealth doing this so with +11 from items it be 50 (common i guess)

39 Critcial Strike give me the PA + CD + SS combo

Axe 34 Same as LAxe to lower the damage variation
LAxe 34 for double frost after i have done my 3 combo.

Poison 29 with items 29+11 = 40, cant see poisons being much use now with SC suits everywhere but the Snare and lower con&str should be useful and the lvl40dot one is not bad.

I know i know not another buffed blade but i play this game for the fun not to be uber, does the spec above make a well rounded SB or a lacking.

No point in going over 36 stealth MAX. It's easy enoug to get 50 stealth with + 11 and RR4 with 36. Alot of people opt for 35 Stealth.

If you're going to spec LA it's best you go 39 LA for Frosty Gaze (Second style in a chain off of an evade with a 6 sec stun).

With Axe it's best to have it at a minimum of 34. Most people go between 34-44 Axe depending on personal preference.

With Crit most people spec 34, I personally didn't spec any but this is more due to personal preference.

he he easy for you to say with 36+11 and RR4 but i dont expect to reach RR4 quickly.

Use frosty glaze with my berserker but i dont see much point for it with the SB, as after i have done my Crit combo spamming DF but maybe i should drop axe a little and up laxe.

I dont mind going a little different, dont like the idea of a cookie cutter spec, no point everyone being the same.

just had another go and you could go 39 all the way down

CS 39
Axe 39
LAxe 39

left over Env 16

I wouldn't bother with 39 CS personally, the damage on stunning stab sucks, your better off moving through them and using snowsqual style. And you want 39 LA not 34 for definate.

Freia i know everyone hates Blades, but i am in the position that i have more than 1 PC and Daoc account so i am going to enjoy the advantage, have yet to play an Infi/SB/NS, and since moving to MID these feels like home now so i roll a SB see what it is like.

You can note down my Nic as you will never see me make an I owned post.

I would fully agree 39 stealth is too high, maybe rr4 might take you a while, but RR2 wont, which would mean 38 stealth etc. I have 35 base stealth (48 with items and rr) and dont feel lacking in the slightest. Just think what those extra points somewhere else will get you

cool thanks for all the replys and so quickly i know you lot probably pretty fed up with wannabe SB spec threads.

With the advise given think i will go as follows

36 Stealth +11 RR4 = 50 Eventually
34 Crit
39 Laxe
39 Axe
29 Poison + 11 RR10 = Lifebane :clap: In my Dreams :clap:

What effects will the + or RR+ have on CS, Axe and LAxe spec lines??

aye if your going 5-spec (ish)

35-36 stealth is more than enough

as for LA, 39 is a must not only for the 39 LA style frosty gaze which from my experience is easy to land but it also reduces your dmg variance on LA syles. having 50 LA with items will give you the max possible dmg from the LA line.

34 axe... mmm kinda low tbh.. weapon skill is everything in 1 vs 1 fights. imho 36 is a minimum, 39 is nice :D

envenom :/ cant really give advice there cos mythic really f00ked things up. have 35+11+rr5 on my blade and yeah lifebane is nice but on SC`d players it ticks for sod all dmg :/
