Been playing DAOC for close to 3 years i think. I still get a huge buzz from playing mainly stealthers in Thid after all this time. I desperately want to stop playing this game but need something to replace it with.

My background is in computer technology - a technician. Considering programming now which i think could replace the intensity of the game (hopefully). Any programmer out there with some tips on how to start? Which introductory course to try or which language to specialize in?

The requirements are that my brain is occupied with interesting concepts and the end goal is something worth the effort.

Rather than do something more geeky, why not try getting laid, drinking yourself stupid, marrying a stranger, inventing a nasal hair comb, dabbling in the occult, or just getting a life away from computers?
