hi im about to upgrade my graphics card. I currently have a Geforce2 MX . I was thinking of buying a Inno3D GeForce4 Ti4200 128Mb DDR DVI TV-Out AGP for £135 is this worth it? And will I notice a difference??? I have an Athlon 1400 1GB sdram and a Asus KT7A Raid M/B......Any advice would be welcome..

Thanks

You ought to notice a hell of a difference if you use around 1024/768 resolution and you play games like jedi knight, mohaa rtcw. I doubt your geforce 2 mx can handle 32 bit colour either, the ti 4200 certainly can. For comparison just adding that card would (my guess) more than double a 3dmark2001se score, not only that but you will see the nature demo and other exotic features working.

Definitely worth it. I have 4x full-screen anti-aliasing on all my games now, and bump up the resolution as high as possible without being silly.

Do it, fella.

Seen as tho we're on the Subject of AntiAliasing, when it asks you to select what you want to use (Manual, 2*, 4*, Quincunx etc) in the Additional Properties of the geforce, i had it defaulted to manual, but once i selected it to *4 on my old GF2 MX, and when i run Counterstrike it was blocky as hell... should it have been?

Also i notice a new tick box for this Card, it has "Texture Sharpening", will that make it better? if i slect it?
