Hellow there people ,

I quit DaoC a few years ago ,right when ToA came out ( PC couldn't handle it )

And now I'm wondering. Is it still worth it , to come back ?
Any idea how long it takes to get up and running again? And with that I mean, being RvR-ready :)

( avg playtime atm 10h/day for another month )

Also , what's up with the new classes? I've done some research left and right ,and now , more than ever ,I'm rather undecided what to do.

About what I love(d) in DaoC , coming from WoW I'll never say the PvE in DaoC's boring ,but I also obviously like my fair share of RvR ;)

I used to love anything that's ranged but also love being a support class.

Any suggestions ideas? About anything that is :) Which server is most "newbie" friendly , classes needed ,etc ,etc , the whole rimram.

Thanks for your time.

I gave up Daoc at the same time as you did, been away for 2 years.
<renewed my acc a week ago and i have had really fun so far.
I´m a casual player tho and are happy with little:)
And with 10 hours a day it should be no problem.
Sure my chars are out of date but it wont take forever to take care of that.
I havent got DR though so i cant speak for that but Catacombs have mad xping alot easier:)

So i really think you should consider to give it a try again:):drink:

Thanks for the replies , think I might give it a go anyway :)

Now ,which class to pick  , valkyries seem rather nice , I guess it'll become a matter of testing :)

*edit ; Any suggestions server-wise ? ( would be nice if there'd be some friendly "lowbie-accepting" guild around :) )

Go to Gareth the US classic server, a player database the Euro servers can only dream of. Lots of action, exping, quests, epic raids and RvR any time you want, Compared to Euro servers templating yourself will be a piece of cake.

maybe camlann is worth considering for you since there is a really active start guild (Project Camlann) at the moment

Hmm , not that fond of Camlann myself.

On a totally different note ,is there actually any popular Daoc irc channel left? :)
Just checked the old Celtic Fist one but it's like a ghosttown now :(
