World of Warcraft Which Server

Well with some Guilds going hear an some Guilds going there there is alot of confusion on the wow part now there saying Pve Pve , so if you want PvP this server is best cause there are allready a few dark age players playing on it. The server is ..........PvP server Skullcrusher..........and all of us hibs are allinace. not horde :-( alliance pm keltic in wow if you want to get in touch.

Id like an replys to this thread if posible what names you are going to pick in wow etc an if you are going alliance or horde etc, when i gather a few more hibs well get more organised

Just without Bainshee's, Warlocks or any other "slightly better new classes to get people play em". Also so far blizzard has made excellent balancing stuff far as I see. Instead of mythics way to just add and add new stuff hoping it finally works somehow

I loved DAOC been on it since start, only reason ive moved on to wow is population and having a full server makes it so much more fun.

If Daoc was still full of hibbies when i 1st started id still be there, real shame DAOC is a gr8 game ..Im just sharing my time between the two at mo

See how i feel in a few months time which subs i cancel.

But all i can say at mo is WOW is taking up all my time and i love it, but as i said its new at mo.

maybe more choice in characters specs but how many are played bet you they are only 2 viable specs at the most for each class if you want grps . cartoony graphics ? and doac are so life like? not much in it doac slightly better but it doesn't distract from the game play at all ?

i like playing doac still my fave game but i am willing to try wow and it looks good

look at the character models on doac very poor with little or no option to cahnge apperance ( yet ie catacombs ) but the game play is fantastic i would say it is based loosley on doac but with better tweeks and more diverse which is what you would expect from a game 2 years down the road.

Installed user base - there are many more ps2 owners than xbox owners, that's a plus for ps2.

Try playing on a lower pop server. Jumping on the highest pop server then moaning about queues is foolish. And yes they are planning to open more servers (currently they have 77).

ps2 > xbox tbh, I program both.

ps2 isnt years older, the XBox was just years later, their specifications are very similar and the ps2 outperforms the xbox in many areas of graphics and can come with a hard drive if you think you need one to play console games... personally if your gonna pay more than 100 quid for a console may as well get a PC with better spec...

Agree on the water front, even my mum took the piss outta the water in WoW, thats gotta be saying something when a 60yr old notices crap effects in a game..

Havent noticed any queueing at all so far.. guess I picked a lucky server.

Well for programming clearly PS2>Xbox, one your programming DirectX from Microsoft (well if you can call it programming)... The other your using every register, piece of memory directy from hardware manuals, quite a difference in style

Specs are similar enough for most games, I can think of some you would have problems doing on PS2, and even a few vice versa, but there are a lot of cross platform titles in the 32bit console market too...

To compare the processors directly is misleading, the PS2 and XBox need to be viewed as hardware packages, whats a good processor worth? About the same as an 3 inferor processors backed up by a better architecture...

Me! I used to do water effects for a living, guess they are more important in my sad little world eh

But yeah gotta agree, Im having more fun in Wow now than I have done in DAOC for a while, probably just cause its new, I doubt somehow ill feel the same after the 200+ days playime ive put into DAOC, but for now we are definatly at home to Mr Gameplay and Mrs Fun even if the water effect is shoddy, the spirit world effect makes up for it
