How many of you poor people are stuck at work today?

I'm here until 5pm, and that is only because they gave me an earlier shift than I should have got (total accident;)). Anyone worse off? Some poor sods in this office are working until 11pm tonight.

I'm working today, but through choice - there's a definate time limit that I can spend with my family at Christmas before I go stir crazy - go late & leave early on 27th - it's the only recipe for sanity.

Because of my Norweigan roots, we 'do' Christmas almost entirely on Christmas Eve. Today I shall be mostly eating a large pig, with all the 'fixings'.

Christmas Day is just a quick trip to my Grandmothers, followed by a return home to eat the remaining parts of the pig that couldn't be eaten the day before.

This was a public service announcement on behalf of the Norweigan Cultural Attache.

Lunchtime...everywhere I can buy food is closed. I hate the public for thinking that they should be able to speak to people 24/7 about their bills.

Working for an ISP - upsides: l33t sh3llz and phat b4ndy, downsides: you actually have to support stuff

I've been working round the clock off and on for the last two days :(

working for bigcompany - upsides: loads of cutting edge kit to play with, downsides: if something breaks you're at work till it's fixed.

Joy, I'm supposed to be winding down for a few days holiday. But rather than ease me into it, I've been told my project is cancelled, and I have to answer the phone all day.

Funny how this happens every time the MD I do the project for goes on holiday, isn't it?

I managed to get the Ny week off, xmas eve and boxing day. :D

I work in a bar so I'm assuming people don't go to city centre pubs around christmas? Well thats what the management seem to think:uhoh:

Or maybe its a Scottish thing going to the pub on Xmas eve and Xmas day.
