Just a brief summary of my day.....which started yesterday...
I was up till 1am getting together spreadsheets and tarrif tables for setting up a card calling platform today. I get up at 4.30am in order to get into work early to reset some of our equipment because of the spring equinox knocking the satelite out or something.
So I'm knackered and strung out from the start of the day.
Now I manage to get all of the tarrif tables completed by around 11:30am which is roughly when I expected them to be done by. That's my end of the bargin.
Then the engineers tell me they get no signal from our co-lo in france. Great. Further investigation shows up that my boss neglected to pay a deposit some time ago. So I have to chase them about that and ring back all the engineers that I'd been pestering for the last few days and apologise and tell them it's now our fault things aren't working.
On top of that, the actual cards themselves which were due to be delivered last friday, STILL haven't shown up today despite chasing. Which means my boss has had to cancel a train journey worth 160 quid and reschedule all his meetings cos he's suppose to be taking these cards with him to deliver to the distributer in France.
After repeated phone calls, no one still has any idea where the delivery actually is and MIGHT be with us tomorrow with any luck. But they can't be sure.
So all in all I've worked my arse off to keep to my deadline and every other fucker has let me down. Surprisingly, the distributer, who was the arsiest of them all a few weeks ago is being surprisingly calm about the whole thing.
I wish I could be.
So I'm surviving on a little over 3hrs sleep, I still don't know if our delivery will come tomorrow and I can't test our card platform cos none of the lines have been hooked up properly in France.
Life's great.
On a plus note though, my bosses have offered to put me up in a hotel tonight to save me my usual 2.5 hr journey home (and back in the morning too!) so I can get some rest. So I suppose it's not all bad.
But there you have it...my day so far. I bet you wish you hadn't asked? heh.

ARSE!
Now Damini isn't gonna come up to london. She's got some essay to finish off and hand in. By the time she's finished that she won't get up to London till well after 8pm. Not really worth spending over 25 quid on train fares just to spend the night in a hotel with some knackered bastard who only grunts replies rather than speaking cos he's so knackered.
I guess that means I can either stay the night in the hotel on my own and wear my same smelly clothes again tomorrow. Or I can get my normal train home and spend 2.5 hrs squished up against a freezing cold window with damp dripping down it onto my suit and a gale blowing through the gaps around the door, on my other side having some sweaty fat fuck elbow me the whole journey, only to have to get up well early again and repeat the experience tomorrow.
TBH it's fucking tough choice. I'm fucked off with commuting but I wanna see my lil lady.

Not enough money for first class. Even if I pay for it it doesn't guarantee a seat in 1st class.
