Bah, well I've failed it once already, this is a resubmittion and if I fail again I get kicked out of my MA!

Kinda sucky as I'm doing well in everything else in this damn degree.

Anyone got the 9.5 fusion pack? I don't use different models and skins (barring those cpl approved hit box ones from clanbase.com) but I've heard good things about this pack. Worth d/l?

Tried it for a day.

Makes some of the tired maps look good (different wad files)

Skins are decent (both weapons and players)

Only thing I didnt like was the weapons were ALL silenced (iirc) which meant detecting where the shots were coming from very difficult.

you can work round it Dolly. Copy all the sound files to another directory, install 9.5 then copy the sounds back

Right i installed it, and played a game... heres my "thoughts"...

GOOD

The Scope on weapons such as AWP etc looks good, it seems simpler to use them... Good? For me yeah.

The Player Models are different, not seen them before, gonna take some gettin used to but for now i say Good.

The Weapon Models look strange, look above ^^^

The new Radar looks awesome, i like the grid reference on the Radar and i think it will be more useful than the old Radar.

The Font for the prices, timeleft etc looks good... altho read the Bad points listed below soon.

The Weapon GUI (Primary, Secondary, Melee, Grens etc) look nice, better graphics than before.

Grenade Explosions now look real and also superb... amazing.

BAD

The Font for Prices, Timeleft etc is too small... hard to read it in 1024 Resolution.

If you have Netgraph running in your bottom right corner of your screen, it will block out the Prices and stuff... and with the font being small anyway it may cause problems.

The AWP looks gay... wtf? Looks like a Pencil.

The Weapons are hard to control... when you fire the graphics go mad.

The animations are a bit OTT... When pulling out weapons it looks like a Bruce Lee movie the way they throw shit about.


Thats my thoughts anyway from playing 30mins or so. Probably more but not noticed anything

I use some different sounds and stuff. Way I found the ones I wanted was by installing whichever pack to a new dir, then trawling through it listening to the sounds and copying over the ones I wanted. As for sprites, models etc download the appropriate viewer so you can...well....view them, then choose the ones you like .
Generally speaking the packs are perfect for whoever made them but there's always something shite for everyone else.
